The Queer Inclusion, Equity, Health, & Rights (QuIEHR) working group comprises Drexel community members and community partners engaging in research, education, training, practice, and advocacy related to public health, medicine, human rights, and social inclusion for sexual and gender minority (SGM) populations. Please join the QuIEHR Working Group at the Dornsife School of Public health on Thursday, April 11th from 11:30am to 5:45 pm EST for the 2nd annual Symposium on Action for Sexual and Gender Minority Health. The hybrid Symposium invites participants to learn about the biopsychosocial determinants of sexual and gender minority (SGM) health. Panelists bring expertise in SGM aging, cardiovascular health, intersectional stigma, mental health, and minority stress.
The symposium is open to the Drexel community and the Public. Registration is required. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees and a reception will follow the keynote. In-person attendees who would like to reserve a lunch should register no later than Friday, April 5th.
Those who cannot attend for the full day are welcome to join us from 3:30 – 4:30 pm EST to hear the keynote speech. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Lauren Beach, Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Social Sciences and Department of Preventive Medicine in the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.
